The client in Loughton wanted to purchase a flat that needed a lot of work. With the view to refurbishing it and potentially letting it or using it for their son’s first home. The flat needed cosmetic, and interior work all over. New carpets, painting, new flooring, new kitchen, new bathroom. To achieve what they wanted, potentially obtain higher rental fees, and provide a more functional space for their son if they decided he would be staying, we advised the client that the flat, due to its small size, was dark and with the current layout was restrictive. We put forward a design to open the flat up taking down the interior Kitchen walls. This lets in so much more light and gave the flat a much larger feel. We installed a new kitchen and re-did electrical work. Installed a new bathroom, laid a new floor and decorated the flat from top to bottom. The client was extremely happy and the value has significantly increased.
